The Friends of the Edwards Public Library is a group of volunteers committed to supporting and promoting the library and advocating for its funding. In addition to raising funds through membership dues, we organize and host a variety of fundraisers throughout the year, including the ever-popular book sale. Funds are used for wifi costs, local museums, supplemental costs for library materials, and help to underwrite program costs.
We meet monthly (3rd Thursdays) and welcome new participants!
Fundraising Events
We typically host 3 fundraising events each year, one each in the fall, winter, and spring.
Paint & Sip
Typically held in the fall, we host 1-2 evenings of an instructor-led painting event, sometimes with wine and sometimes with mocktails. You walk away with your finished product, an evening hanging out with a lovely group of people, and the knowledge that you helped to support library programming.
Love Your Library Gift Bag Raffle
Started in February 2025, you can enter to win one of several themed gift bags, such as Date Night, Gardening, and Health & Wellness, among others. Each bag has themed items donated by area businesses or purchased by the Friends, all packaged in a FEPL tote bag.
Book & Bake Sale
Our most popular event, the book sale is held in May and includes a FEPL member preview evening. If you are considering getting involved, we always need helpers to staff the different areas during the 3-day event.
